Documentaries aren't often done with screenplays, this
one was but it was not the beginning of the process. The making of this
documentary took two years. First many months were spent collecting the
footage and other materials that could be used to tell this story. Then
this was crafted together with the narration that would bring it
together. This became the working script and it changed as more
material was added or substracted. Before we went into the studio,
Martin Sheen worked with Clay Claiborne to add the finish touches, for
example Martin complete rewrote the first two paragraphs and wrote some
new material that became the extra feature of the DVD
"Kennedy
Wanted Out." What is presented here is the final copy that was
been corrected to reflect the final edit that was mastered to the DVD.
